Paro is the home to no. of oldest temples of Bhutan, various monasteries, Bhutan’s international Airport and the National Museum. There are ample collection in the national museum which includes thangkha paintings, textiles, household objects, weapons, rich collection of national and historic art crafts etc. Thimphu offers marvellous conjunction of tradition and modernity. Sightseeing in Thimpu includes National Library, Institute for Zorig Chusum, National Memorial Chorten, Handicrafts Emporium, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum and Trashichhoedzong. Institute for Zorig Chusum(also known as Painting School) provides 6 years course on 13 traditional Bhutan arts and crafts. Handicrafts Emporium run by the government. National Memorial Chorten is a monument to world peace and a memorial to the Late King ("the Father of modern Bhutan"). Textile and Folk Heritage Museum provides wonderful insights to the Bhutan’s way of life and culture. Trashichhoedzong monastery has secretariat building , various government offices and the throne room of His Majesty. You will also visit Wangduephodrang Dzong at the intersection of Punakha chu river and Tang chu river. Thereafter, last second day visit Punakha Dzong, drive back to Paro and departure from Paro on last day.
