Accommodation during Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing

Accommodation during Tharpu Chuli Peak climbing is typically a combination of tea house accommodation during the trek and camping during the climbing portion of the trip.

Tea house accommodation is the most common form of accommodation during the trek to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp. Tea houses are small, locally-run lodges that provide basic accommodation and meals to trekkers. They are generally located in villages along the trail and are spaced out a day's walking distance apart. Rooms are typically shared and have basic amenities like beds and blankets with a common washroom.

Camping accommodation is used during the climbing portion of the trip. Once you reach the base camp, we will set up camp in the designated camping area. Camping equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, and mats will be provided by us. We use a separate kitchen tent, dining tent, sleeping tent, and toilet tent.

Meals during Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing

We have all of our meals during trekking at the tea houses, which typically serve a variety of local Nepalese dishes such as dal bhat, noodles, curries, soups, Tibetan bread, momo, etc. Some tea houses may also offer more Western-style dishes such as pasta and pizza.

While climbing, the meals are prepared by the supporting crew. The crew will carry food and other supplies to the base camp and set up a kitchen tent. They will prepare all meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is usually basic but nutritious and high-energy, to sustain the climbers during the climb.
